Regency Centers names senior HQ exec

Jacksonville, Fla. Regency Centers has recently announced the addition of Barbara Christie Johnston as senior VP general counsel.

According to Regency, Johnston will lead and direct nationwide legal activities with in-house legal staff and outside counsel, and will advise management on matters including legal rights, obligations and risks for real estate transactions, wide-ranging company matters and general corporate compliance.

In addition, Johnston will serve as corporate secretary for the board of directors.

Recently, Johnston served as partner with the national firm of McGuireWoods LLP in its Jacksonville, Fla., office, practicing in the areas of business law with emphasis on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and general corporate law matters.
