  • Noodles & Co. to open at Village Center at Dulles

    Herndon, Va. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said that it has leased space at Village Center at Dulles, located in Herndon, Va., to Noodles & Co.

    The 3,167-sq.-ft. store is slated to open this summer, and brings the center to 98% leased.

    The 308,000-sq.-ft. shopping center is anchored by Shoppers Food Warehouse, Staples and Gold’s Gym, and also includes Starbucks, Chuck E. Cheese, Subway, GNC, State Farm and The UPS Store.

  • Tutti Frutti Yogurt leases restaurant space at Regency Centers' Legacy Center

    Frisco, Texas -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased restaurant space to Tutti Frutti Yogurt, which will open a 1,412-sq.-ft. store at Legacy Center, in Frisco, Texas.

    The specialty frozen yogurt retailer is slated to open its new store in July.
    The 119,500-sq.-ft. shopping center includes national retailers such as Starbucks, Subway, Great Clips and The UPS Store.

  • Maurices to expand at Gadsden Mall in May

    Gadsden, Ala. -- Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust said Wednesday that Maurices will move to a new, larger location at Gadsden Mall, in Gadsden, Ala., in May.

    The 5,000-sq. ft. expanded store will be positioned near Belk.

    The expansion of Maurice’s follows on the heels of the recent opening of KOBE Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar.

  • Forest City promotes Bishop to COO, Commercial Group

    Cleveland -- Forest City Enterprises said Wednesday it has promoted Duane F. Bishop Jr., to the position of executive VP and COO of the company’s Commercial Group.

    Bishop was previously executive VP – Asset Management. 

    Forest City’s Commercial Group, the largest of three major strategic business units, includes the company’s retail, office and hotel properties.

  • DLC names leasing exec

    Tarrytown, N.Y. -- DLC Management Corp. announced Wednesday that it has named Michael Mahan as leasing representative in the firm’s Atlanta office, where he will handle a portion of the company’s Southeastern portfolio of shopping centers.

    Mahan brings with him several years of commercial real estate experience, most recently as a leasing manager for Lamar Cos.

  • Target signs lease to open in San Francisco’s Metreon

    Rumors that Target would open in San Francisco’s Metreon center have now been confirmed: Terranomics announced it has brokered a signed lease for Target to open in the Wesfield-owned center.

    The lease for 99,677 sq. ft. was only just officially signed, San Francisco Business Times reported. The Metreon will soon begin construction on a multi-million dollar remodel that will make room for Target, and will recreate the ground level as a food collection of Bay Area restaurant concepts.

  • The Crossings at Four Corners

    Located just 10 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta in Smyrna, Ga., The Crossings at Four Corners is currently undergoing a complete revitalization. The 153,000-sq.-ft. redevelopment, which officially broke ground on Feb. 8, includes the installation of a new traffic signal at the north end of the property, the renovation of approximately 60,000 sq. ft. of retail space and the addition of several outparcels. The true core of the project, however, will be the brand new, 96,000-sq.-ft. Kroger Food store.

  • Mid-America closes on six retail leases at Chicago shopping centers

    Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. -- Mid-America Asset Management said that several retail leases have been completed at six shopping centers in Chicago’s western suburbs. Mid-America is the exclusive leasing representative of each of the centers.

    The Shops at South Elgin (South Elgin, Ill.) signed a lease for 6,604 sq. ft. with independent health food/vitamin retailer Fruitful Yield, to expand the current tenant’s space by 3,264 sq. ft. The newly expanded store is expected to open June 1.
