  • Shops at Highland Village adds restaurant as property completes makeover

    Highland Village, Texas -- Trademark Property Corp., the operating partner for The Shops at Highland Village located in Highland Village, Texas, announced Torchy’s Tacos has signed a lease for 5,262 sq. ft. at the recently renovated shopping center. In addition, Runway Seven’s flagship store will relocate this spring to a larger space.

  • European grocer gears up for U.S. expansion

    German discount supermarket chain Lidl has revealed where it will drop its anchor in the United States.

    The retailer revealed on its website that it is seeking locations between New Jersey and Georgia. It said it is looking to build stand-alone, 36,000-sq.-ft. stores on sites that are at least 3.5 acres with a minimum of 150 parking spaces.

  • City Furniture on the move with store renovations

    City Furniture is opening a new Ashley Furniture HomeStore at the Mall at Wellington Green, Wellington, Florida., and rolling out a new design look for its Pembroke Pines City Furniture showroom in Pembroke Pines, Florida. (City Furniture is the Southeast and Southwest Florida licensee for Ashley Furniture HomeStores.)

  • Report: Under Armour has big store expansion plans for 2016

    Athletic wear giant Under Armour plans to open some 200 store in 2016, according to The Street. While the brand did not comment, the report said the expansion would likely include a mixture of store types, including outlet locations, “Brand House” stores, (the company’s full-price, experiential format) and in-store shops.   • Trademark hires VP of leasing

    Fort Worth, Texas -- Trademark Property Co. announced Phil Pearson has joined the firm as VP of leasing. A 30-year industry veteran, Pearson will help manage multiple leasing projects for Trademark. Pearson will work with potential tenants, development partners and construction representatives to coordinate the entire leasing process. He will create and maintain relationships with national retailers, restaurants, brokers and consultants.

  • Stew Leonard opens at Airport Plaza on Long Island

    Farmingdale, New York -- Kimco Realty Corp. announced that Stew Leonard’s has opened its newest location at Airport Plaza shopping center in Farmingdale, New York. The new 60,000 sq. ft. store will be located across from the existing Stew Leonard’s Wines of Farmingdale store.

    The Farmingdale location is home to Stew Leonard’s fifth store and first grocery store location on Long Island.

    Troutdale, Ore. -- Time Equities announced the expansion of its Northwest portfolio with the acquisition of Columbia Gorge Premium Outlets, located in Troutdale, Oregon for $28,425,000.

  • Golf retailer expanding west

    PGA Tour Superstore continues to broaden its footprint with its first store in Utah.

    The retailer announced it will open a 25,000-sq.-ft. store in Sandy, Utah, in April. The Sandy store, which will feature four state-of-the-art simulators, four practice hitting bays and an expansive putting green measuring more than 750 sq. ft., is the first of five new store locations the company has announced for 2016.
