Recent completion of the $60 million power center Coastal North Town Center signaled the arrival of Myrtle Beach’s first Publix supermarket and Hobby Lobby store.

Developed by RealtyLink, LLC, and Branch Properties, LLC, the 315,000-sq.-ft. property is the trade area’s largest retail shopping center completed in almost 15 years. The two real estate companies developed the retail center as part of a joint-venture agreement that has RealtyLink responsible for development, financing and leasing, and Branch positioned as equity partner and ongoing property manager.

“The strong tenant line-up and rapid lease-up is testament to the strength and confidence of retailers and restaurants in this market,” said Phil Wilson, chairman of RealtyLink, LLC. “We are in negotiations with several popular local and regional tenants to complete the leasing for Coastal North Town Center.”

Nine national retailers anchor the power center situated on a 40-acre site along US Highway 17 between 11th Avenue and Sea Mountain Road. A signalized entrance provides direct access to TJ Maxx, Ross Dress for Less, Dick’s Sporting Goods, PetSmart and Hobby Lobby in addition to Publix. Also, the following tenants complete 88% of the available space: Ulta, Rack Room Shoes, Versona, Edison’s Fitness, Hallmark, Dickey’s BBQ, Coastal North Vision Care, CC Nails, Supercuts, Which Wich, Coastal Olive Oil, McAlister’s Deli, Chipotle, Mattress Firm, Heartland Dental, B Fashion, Menchie’s, Bojangles’ and Bou’Tiki.

“This dirt was truly a unique find for a primarily tourist market in the Southeast,” said Nick Telesca, president of Branch Properties, LLC.
