    U.K. retailer Topshop will debut more than a new fashion line at London’s Fashion Week.    The British fashion brand and Nordstrom teamed up to launch a co-branded emoji keyboard app that features fashion and lifestyle emojis, stickers and GIFs resembling actual Topshop product sold at Nordstrom.

    Halloween has arrived at Macy’s flagship.   Home décor direct-marketer Grandin Road has opened its first-ever brick-and-mortar space, a pop-up at Macy's Herald Square flagship in Manhattan.    The space is designed to inspire, spook and entertain shoppers throughout the months of September and October.

    Grandin Road will step into the physical space in what promises to be a frightening debut.   The direct retailer of home furnishings and décor will open a Halloween pop-up at Macy’s flagship in Herald Square in New York City. The 1,400-sq.-ft. shop will showcase Grandin Road’s Halloween decoration collection, which has grown steadily over the past decade.  
  • Amazon puts spotlight on start-ups

    Amazon has launched an online shop dedicated to innovative products from start-up companies.   Amazon has teamed up with popular crowdfunding site Kickstarter to showcase a collection of products that have been successfully funded on the platform. The Kickstarter Collection is featured on Amazon’s Launchpad section, the company’s storefront for hardware startups and crowdfunded projects. The new collection has more than 300 products, and covers a wide range of categories, from electronics and toys to home and kitchen.

  • West Elm opens store in a former post office

    Home furnishings retailer West Elm will open a new store in downtown Reno, Nevada, on Aug. 11.    The 11,000-sq.-ft. store is located on the main floor of the former U.S. Post Office building, which has been transformed into The Basement marketplace, an underground venue with a mission to create a multi-use incubator space of both retail and food vendors celebrating handicraft.
