Sports Authority wants to help customers stay healthy, wherever they are.
The full-line sporting goods retailer has launched its new BodyFit Personal Training app. This free app gives customers exclusive access to more than 100 fitness training videos and provides guidance on how to use Sports Authority’s proprietary BodyFit sports and exercise equipment.
“Our new BodyFit App is a free personal training app that offers exclusive and original exercise videos guided by professional fitness instructor Laura Wilson,” said Stephen Binkley, executive VP and chief merchandising officer at Sports Authority. “We are thrilled about the launch as it complements our newly redesigned BodyFit fitness accessory line, making fitness more accessible than ever to our customers.”
The redesigned BodyFit line is made for athletes of all levels and focuses on three areas of fitness – activate (preparation), train (strength and conditioning), and recover (post-training recovery). Each product within the BodyFit line falls into the three categories, with updated packaging and corresponding videos.
Members of The League by Sports Authority loyalty program who buy BodyFit products through Nov. 8 will receive triple points.
Retailers like Sports Authority are increasingly offering private label products that carry higher margins with lower cost to the consumer. The addition of proprietary apps, social pages and other digital features allows retailers to create an entire customer-centric, seamless private label experience, which should only boost sales and profits further.
