    Nestle’s Gerber brand is asking parent to upload photos of their infants as part of its 5th annual “Be Our Baby” contest and a chance to appear in a television commercial.

  • eBay woos holiday shoppers with global brand campaign

    eBay plans to leverage its latest global brand campaign, called “Shop the World,” to position itself at the forefront of shoppers’ minds during the holiday shopping season.

    eBay’s brand advertising and marketing campaign, which debuts Oct. 13, aims to support sellers by engaging existing eBay users and attracting new ones.

  • Hasbro unveils My Little Pony-branded Pez dispensers and candy line

    Hasbro has signed a global licensing agreement with Pez International to develop a My Little Pony-branded line of Pez dispensers, Pez dextrose fizzy candy and fizzy rolls.

    Hasbro will begin rolling out the new line beginning in early 2015 in Germany, France and Austria followed by additional markets worldwide. The new dispensers and candy will be on display at Hasbro Booth #D020 at Brand Licensing Europe in Olympia, London, October 7-9.

  • Walmart expands role in health care with in-store one-stop insurance shopping

    Bentonville, Ark. – Walmart is expanding its role in health care. The retail giant is teaming up with DirectHealth.com, an online health insurance comparison site and agency, to set up counters in its stores where shoppers can speak with licensed agents about available health insurance options. Walmart’s expanding role in health care comes as drug store chains, including Walgreens and CVS, continue to beef up their own healthcare services.

  • Jimmy Dean leverages social media in daylong ad campaign

    The makers of Jimmy Dean products have launched Sunniest Day of the Year — a one-day campaign advertising the brand’s new lunch and dinner offerings. The Jimmy Dean brand Sun character is traveling across the US and documenting every step of his adventure on social media.

    In addition to the robust digital content, the Sunniest Day of the Year also includes a national television advertising integration with a guest appearance by the Sun, the launch of a custom microsite (www.sunniestday.com) to track the cross-country journey and a national consumer sweepstakes.

  • Survey: Marketers see customer satisfaction as primary IT driver

    Dayton, Ohio - Nearly two-thirds (62%) of 400 digital marketers surveyed view improving customer satisfaction as the top reason to invest more in technology. Becoming more customer-centric is a top-two priority for 49% of respondent organizations.  

  • Starbucks and HBO to honor veterans at free concert with stellar lineup

    Seattle -- Starbucks Coffee Company and HBO will host a free, all-star concert to honor the nations veterans and their families on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., to be presented live on HBO on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

    The line-up of performers scheduled to appear at The Concert for Valor include Bruce Springsteen, Eminem, Jamie Foxx, Dave Grohl, Metallica, John Oliver, Rihanna, Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band, as well as special appearances by Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, among others.

  • Survey: Marketers use basic cross-channel attribution

    San Francisco - Only one-in-nine marketers use advanced cross-channel attribution methods, and among those using attribution, 28% still use single click methods. According to a new survey of 106 advertisers, agencies, and analytics professionals in the U.S. and Europe performed by Forrester Consulting for predictive marketing software provider Kenshoo, advanced marketers use sophisticated multi-touch attribution models to inform a broad array of strategic and tactical decisions in more detail and with more speed.
