    Purchase, N.Y. – MasterCard is unveiling a new omni-channel promotion called “Priceless Surprises.” Consumers who make purchases via any channel, or use #PricelessSurprises on Twitter or Instagram, are eligible to receive random, real-time surprises.

  • Lucky Charms turns 50

    Lucky Charms cereal is marking its 50th anniversary with a 50-day celebration featuring its longtime mascot Lucky the leprechaun.

    The celebration kicked off last night with a tribute ad featuring pop vocal sensation Pentatonix singing his jingle. The festivities will culminate on Lucky's 50th birthday. St. Patrick's Day, March 17. Throughout the 50-day celebration, surprises will pop up across the country and online.

  • Lease the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile via Twitter

    Remember the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile? Well, the brand is offering a chance for people to “lease” the hot dog on wheels for eight hours via Twitter.

    Participants must use hashtag #Tweet2Lease, and one winner will be chosen to get chauffeured around town for eight hours on the Wienermobile by the vehicle's drivers, known as Hotdoggers.

  • Toys ‘R’ Us generates buzz ahead of LEGO movie release

    In anticipation of the theatrical release of “The LEGO Movie” Friday, Feb. 7, Toys “R” Us is unveiling a dedicated feature shop in stores nationwide Thursday, Jan. 30, as well as online at Toysrus.com/LEGO.

    Customers will be able to find the latest movie-inspired products as well as recreate their favorite scenes from the first-ever full-length LEGO adventure film. Toys “R” Us will also host a special event, and offer gifts with purchase and a chance to win prizes, while supplies last.

  • Beverly Center celebrates the Chinese New Year

    The Year of the Horse arrives January 31, 2014, the first day of the Chinese New Year, which will run through February 18, 2015.

    Beverly Center in Los Angeles plans to celebrate the Chinese New Year and promote the Year of the Horse from day one through the month of February.

    The Chinese Zodiac follows cycles of 12 years, with each year named for an animal. This year is the Year of the Horse. It is said that people born in the Year of the Horse may be hardworking, independent, intelligent and fall in love easily.

  • New 99 Cents Only Store to open in Las Vegas

    City of Commerce, Calif. — 99¢ Only Stores will open a new 20,000-sq.-ft. Las Vegas location on Jan. 23. The new store will feature a perishable food department, with produce, dairy and frozen foods.

    The new store will kick off its grand opening celebration by selling Westinghouse 40-in. flat-screen TVs for only 99 cents to the first nine customers in line. In addition, anyone in line by 7:45 a.m. will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win the tenth Westinghouse 40-in. flat-screen TV.

    Now that we know the two teams that are heading to Super Bowl XLVIII Sunday, Feb. 2, Gillette is offering a chance for football fans to score last-minute tickets to the big game via Twitter.

    Linebacker Clay Matthews will announce one winner each day via his personal Twitter handle, @ClayMatthews52 between now and Jan. 24.
