  • Marketing exec at RadioShack is out

    The person behind the retro marketing campaign at RadioShack is out.

    Jennifer Warren, chief marketing officer at RadioShack, is the latest top executive to leave the troubled electronics retailer as it tries to stave off bankruptcy. The company recently replaced its CFO for the third time this year as it reshuffled restructuring advisers.

    Warren joined RadioShack in April 2013 and was one of CEO Joe Magnacca’s first hires when he was putting together his turnaround team.

  • German supermarket spreads holiday cheer

    An assortment of cashiers, 13 hidden cameras, and a whole lot of holiday spirit led to an epic surprise at a grocery store in Germany this month.

    Edeka, Germany's largest supermarket chain, decided to surprise its shoppers with a seasonal treat.

    In an attempt to liven up the otherwise boring chore of grocery shopping, these cashiers opted to delight their patient shoppers with a choreographed orchestra that beeped the holiday classic, "Jingle Bells."

    New York - Edeka, Germany's largest supermarket company, decided to surprise its customers with some unexpected seasonal cheer. Thirteen hidden cameras caught shoppers’ expressions as the store lights went down and cashiers scanned items in such a way that their registers beeped the right notes of holiday favorite "Jingle Bells.” 
  • With help from friends, consumers can win Mellow Mushroom contest

    Atlanta – Pizza chain Mellow Mushroom is partnering with beer brand Stella Artois to provide rewards to consumers who post photos on Twitter and Instagram, with a little help from their friends. By posting “usies” (“selfies” with a friend) using the hashtag #MellowStellaContest, Mellow Mushroom followers are entered in a contest featuring a getaway and other prizes.
