    Consumers can go to Frigidaire's Facebook page to create and share movie posters chronicling their personal adventures in clean for a chance to win a new Frigidaire Affinity washer and dryer as well as a trip to Hollywood for the "The Odd Life of Timothy Green," starring Garner, premiere.

  • Alco names SVP marketing

    ABILENE, Kan. — Alco Stores has promoted Brent Streit to SVP marketing and e-commerce.

    Streit, a native of Downs, Kansas and a graduate of Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, has more than 20 years of experience in retailing. In 2001 he joined Alco, then known as Duckwall-ALCO Stores Inc., as a buyer. Since then he has held increasingly responsible positions in supply chain management, marketing and business development.

    Redmond, Wash. – PlayNetwork said Tuesday that it has been selected as women’s apparel retailer Maurices’ strategic music agency for all Maurices marketing initiatives.

    As music agency of record for Maurices, PlayNetwork will help expand the retailer’s music footprint with their customers through multichannel engagements that include targeted national campaigns, social media features, music festivals, artist and label partnerships, and exclusive original video content.

    PAWTUCKET, R.I. — Hasbro has introduced a new line of its Kre-O brand construction toys inspired by the upcoming "Star Trek" sequel. The Kre-O Star Trek line, under license from CBS Consumer Products, features a variety of vehicles from the movie along with fun Kreon figures based on iconic Star Trek. The collection will make its debut at Comic-Con on July 11.
