  • Amex launches loyalty program

    New York – American Express is launching a new loyalty program called Plenti. The program lets consumers use loyalty points accrued at one participating retailer and use them at another.

    Initial participating organizations include AT&T, Exxon, Macy’s, Mobil, Nationwide, Rite Aid, Direct Energy, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Hulu. The program is expected to include more brands in additional categories over time.

  • JCPenney growing its Sephora presence

    JCPenney Co. Inc. is expanding its in-store partnership with Sephora by adding the beauty retailer to more stores.

  • J.C. Penney expands in-store Sephora partnership

    Plano, Texas – J.C. Penney Co. Inc. is expanding its in-store partnership with Sephora. Starting May 1, Penney will introduce Sephora to 25 additional stores, enabling the global beauty retailer to enter new and smaller markets, while expanding Penney’s reach as a destination for beauty.

    Since the exclusive partnership launched in 2006, more than 500 Penney stores now feature a full-service Sephora offering.

  • Meijer creates garden oasis in-store

    Meijer has partnered with Scotts-MiracleGro to create an unprecedented lawn and garden section in its stores, just in time for the spring gardening season. 

    Meijer is the first supercenter to partner with the national lawn care and garden brand to create a Garden Marketplace inside 27 Meijer stores across the Midwest as peak gardening season begins.

  • Kay Jewelers creates a perfect Mother's Day promotion

    Kay Jewelers has launched an innovative jewelry collection designed to drive traffic to its stores this Mother’s Day.

    The retailer has created Miracle Links, a jewelry collection designed with interlinking circles to symbolize the special bond between a mother and her child, now available in select Kay Jewelers stores nationwide and on Kay.com.

  • Sears refreshing some Hometown, Outlet stores

    Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores is embracing its branding as “America’s Appliance Experts” with a refresh of seven stores in Arizona, among other states.

    The store refresh includes a new product assortment, redesigned merchandising, new fixtures & signage, and comprehensive employee training, among other changes.
