    Destination Maternity Corp. is showing off a new superstore prototype, in Virginia Beach,Va. The 5,000-sq.-ft. store has a "discovery" or open floor plan that offers customers different paths to explore the space. Larger graphics, new fixtures and tables and enhanced fitting rooms  create a modern, inviting environment.  Merchandise is displayed in lifestyle zones, with elevated presentations of categories. There are also new mannequins, and more of them.

  • Six:02, Stamford, Conn.

    Fashion and fitness come together at Six:02, a  new retail format from Foot Locker. Designed for young, active women, the store offers on-trend athletic apparel, footwear and accessories in a stylish, inviting environment.

    The store has a loft-like residential feel, with nesting tables, furniture-inspired fixtures and hardwood floors that reflect the customer’s sense of style while making her feel right at home.   

  • Teavana Fine Teas + Tea Bar, New York City

    Starbucks Corp. unveiled its new retail format, Teavana Fine Teas + Tea Bar, with the debut location opening on Manhattan's  East Side. The store features a wide variety of hot brewed and iced teas, tea fusion beverages and  tea-related merchandise. It also offers a range of food items, from salads to flatbreads to pastries and other baked goods, with a bakery-like presentations.

  • WaWa, various locations in Florida

    East Coast-based convenience store operator WaWa is expanding through the state of Florida with a new prototype designed to reflect the language and style associated with Floridian vernacular architecture.
         

  • Niquea D., New York City

    Schurman Retail Group, owners of Papyrus North America, unveiled its newest concept, Niquea D., on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The store features women’s jewelry and accessories, clothing, scents, home décor, and paper and gift products.  

    With a mix of antique furniture, one-of-a-kind chandeliers, and hand-painted rich blue damask walls, the 900-sq.-ft. space has the feel and look of a Parisian boutique. A second Manhattan location is scheduled to open later this fall, downtown on Hudson Street

  • J.C. Penney, locations nationwide

    J.C. Penney Co. is expanding its kids and baby line-up with the launch of exclusive new brands, including dedicated in-store environments for Disney and giggleBABY.

    Penney’s Disney shop concept ranges in size from 800 sq. ft. to 1,100 sq. ft. The branded department features toys, collectibles and children's apparel designed exclusively for Penney and showcasing various Disney characters.

  • Whole Foods Market, Detroit

    Whole Foods Market’s core values of local, natural and environmentally responsible commerce are showcased in its store in downtown Detroit. The 21,506-sq.-ft. store, the retailer’s first location in the Motor City, features lower pricing and combines its signature organic and locally-made/grown goods with a larger selection of private-label items and frozen and prepackaged foods.

  • Pearle Vision, Lyndhurst, Ohio

    Pearle Vision has debuted a new store design, in Legacy Village, Lyndhurst, Ohio. The  Cleveland-area store features a completely revamped look,  from a new brand logo and signage to modernized displays and a completely transformed floor plan.

    The design, by WD Partners, incorporates the company's rich history, with a new eyeglass icon that speaks to the heritage of Dr. Pearle and the Pearle Vision brand. Accompanying the new logo and signage is "Est. 1961," a tribute that reinforces the company's commitment to a 50-year legacy.
