  • Warby Parker, Palo Alto, Calif.

    Warby Parker has set up shop in downtown Palo Alto in a Spanish Colonial Revival building built in 1927.      The hot eyewear retailer has a knack for combining its signature library-inspired design details, which include walnut shelving, terrazzo tiled flooring, and plush leather seating, with unique elements in each location. In Palo Alto, a mural of original illustrations by artist Maira Kalman adds color and a touch of humor.   
  • Saks Fifth Avenue, New York City

    Saks has given over the 14 storefront windows of its Fifth Avenue flagship to United Airlines to help promote United’s new Polaris business class cabin. (Saks is providing the bedding for United Polaris.)   The windows are designed to give passersby the feeling that they are actually walking through the luxurious Polaris cabin. And just in time for resort season, the mannequins that are in some of the windows are decked out in the latest spring fashions.

    A dramatic spiral staircase highlighted by three chandeliers and a cascade of lights and crystals suspended from a 30-ft. ceiling welcomes shoppers at Shreve & Co. new flagship in San Francisco.   The two-level, 15,000-sq.-ft. store features a modern, luxurious design, with in-store boutiques, private viewing suites for personalized consultations and an entertainment room. It also houses an array of services, from a dedicated watchmaker to an estate jewelry appraiser and consultant.

    A store transformed — that’s how Target refers to its Baton Rouge East (Louisiana) store which has re-opened its doors after sustaining massive damage from the floods that devastated the area in August.

    The new, 45,000-sq.-ft. adidas flagship in New York City is the athletic giant’s largest store in the world — and its most brand immersive.    Sleek and ultra-modern looking, the store marks the debut of adidas’ stadium retail concept, which is inspired by high school stadiums and celebrates creativity in sport. It features a tunnel entrance, high-school reminiscent bleacher stands for live-game viewing on big screens, locker room-styled dressing rooms and track and turf sections where customers can try out products.

    Athletic giant adidas has opened a giant of a flagship, on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 46th Street in Manhattan. The four-story, 45,000-sq.-ft. store is the brand’s largest location in the world.    The new space marks the debut of adidas’ stadium retail concept, which is inspired by high school stadiums and celebrates creativity in sport.     Inspired by its West Hollywood Design District locale, Lululemon’s new store on Melrose Avenue offers a sleek, stylish and modern shopping environment.    Modern ivy leaf-inspired patterns throughout the interior and exterior, along with the use of reclaimed red wood and iron spot brick, highlight the architectural components of the 2,750-sq.-ft. space.
