Midwest grocery retailer Fareway is optimizing product discovery to ensure it stocks the goods customers want to buy.

Fareway is rolling out the RangeMe online product discovery platform to directly communicate with more than 200,000 suppliers in an effort bring new products to the shelf. In particular, the retailer wants to shift its inventory to contain more health and wellness products.

Leveraging the RangeMe solution, Fareway intends to provide prospective suppliers a streamlined experience while remaining agile in sourcing products and services. A number of regional convenience chains, including Kum & Go, Yesway, and Casey’s General Stores, have also streamlined and scaled product sourcing using the RangeMe platform in recent months.

"With the new year fast approaching, we are committed to creating a personalized shopping experience for customers, with the added focus on how we can better help meet their needs,” said Clint Jenkins, VP of wholesale purchasing at Fareway.” So many of our customers are on a wellness journey and partnering with RangeMe opens up so many new possibilities to tailor products to help them meet their goals."

Fareway Stores Inc. is an Iowa-based grocery company currently operating 123 stores in a six-state region.
