  • Cafaro unveils fit technology at two malls

    Youngstown, Ohio -- Cafaro Co. announced that it will make Me-Ality (Measured Reality) available at its South Hill Mall, in Puyallup, Wash., and Eastwood Mall, in Niles, Ohio.

    Me-Ality is a free service that uses cutting-edge technology to precisely determine a customer’s exact body measurement and provide a list of recommendations of where to find the best-fitting apparel to flatter that body.

  • Regency Centers to launch construction of East Washington Place

    Petaluma, Calif. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it will begin construction of East Washington Place, a 378,000-sq.-ft. community center anchored by Target.

    Located in Petaluma, Calif., the new development is strategically located at the intersection of two main arterial roads, East Washington Street and Highway 101, with daily traffic counts in excess of 92,000. Regency Centers will invest approximately $61 million into the project, which will create approximately 380 construction jobs and 720 permanent jobs.

  • Bottom Dollar to open eight more stores in New Jersey

    Salisbury, N.C. -- Bottom Dollar Food announced plans to open eight additional stores in New Jersey. The expansion will more than double the number of Bottom Dollar Food stores in the Garden State, with the first two stores opening March 2.

    "We have been pleased with customer reaction to our current five stores in New Jersey and we are very excited to continue serving customers at our additional locations in the market," said Bottom Dollar Food president Meg Ham.

  • Topshop to make Los Angeles debut

    New York City -- British fashion retailer Topshop will open its fourth store in the United States, in The Grove shopping center in Los Angeles.

    The 25,000-sq.ft. store is expected to open in time for the 2012 holiday season, according to The Los Angeles Times.

    To date, Topshop has opened in New York City and Chicago. It will open in Las Vegas, on March 8.
     

  • DDR and Shoe Carnival team to open four stores in 2012

    Beachwood, Ohio -- Shopping center owner DDR Corp. said Tuesday that four new Shoe Carnival stores will open at DDR shopping centers in 2012.

    The new stores are a result of DDR's focus to consolidate small shop space by reconfiguring and re-leasing space to national retailers, improving tenant mix and the quality of cash flow. At three of the shopping centers, multiple small shop units have been combined to accommodate the new Shoe Carnival stores. The fourth center is located in Puerto Rico.

  • Tractor Supply ups its store growth potential

    Brentwood, Tenn. -- Tractor Supply Co. has increased its estimated domestic store growth potential to 2,100 locations from a previously estimated 1,800 stores.

  • Edge Realty Partners launches investment sales division

    Dallas -- Edge Realty Partners has announced the launch of Edge Realty Capital Markets, which will focus on the investment sales of retail, multi-family and healthcare properties.

    Brandon Beeson and Mart Martindale will lead Edge Capital Markets as principals. Steven Smith is also joining the firm as an executive VP.

    Beeson previously was senior director with Berkadia where he focused on representing owners in sale of retail assets.   

  • SRS Real Estate names new team members

    Dallas -- SRS Real Estate Partners announced two new hires in the South Florida office, as Dominic Delgado and Evan Richardson both joined the team as senior associates.

    Delgado will focus on investment services, landlord representation, tenant representation and disposition services.  Prior to joining SRS, he worked in Miami as community association management coordinator for KW Property Management.
