Nordstrom Rack makes Manhattan debut
New York City Nordstrom opened the doors to its off-price format, Nordstrom Rack, in Manhattan on Tuesday. It is the department store company’s first-ever location in the Big Apple.
The approximate 32,000-sq.-ft. Rack is located in the basement of the former Virgin Megastore in the Union Square area.
In 2009, Nordstrom opened 13 Rack locations. It plans to open a total of 17 in 2010, compared with three openings slated for Nordstrom stores.
