Track star, sofball team in new Nike campaign
BEAVERTON, Ore. Nike has launched a new marketing campaign featuring track star Sanya Richards and the USA Softball Team.
In “We Have Softball,” Nike highlights the USA Softball Team’s passion and commitment to continuing to play the game regardless of the circumstances. The ad debuted in the U.S. on Aug. 12, and features members of the four-time, gold medal winning USA Softball Team along with clips of other softball participants around the country playing the game in various settings.
Beginning Aug. 15, Nike will debut “A Dream Deferred,” an inspirationally charged ad that gives viewers a glimpse into Sanya Richards’ life over the past two years. After battling a rare ailment that threatened her track career, Richards persevered to return to action stronger than ever before. The ad shows Richards training and getting ready to return to competition in the 400 meter run.
