The new Nissan Stadium in Nashville will offer frictionless shopping at all concessions stores in partnership with Amazon.

The Tennessee Titans NFL pro football team will deploy the Amazon Just Walk Out frictionless shopping platform at all 40-plus concessions locations in its upcoming, newly-constructed Nissan Stadium, scheduled to open in 2027. This will enable the new Nissan Stadium to become the first-ever NFL venue to offer a completely frictionless experience at all concessions markets.

Based on generative AI technology, the Just Walk Out solution enables customers to take what they want without having to stop to check out, with the experience made possible by computer vision, sensor fusion and deep learning technology that detects what customers take from or return to the shelves.

Customers will be able to simply a concessions market, pick up the food and drinks they want, and walk out with the technology automatically detecting what items they take and charging their selected payment method as they leave without performing any scanning or waiting in any checkout lines.

"The Tennessee Titans are redefining what's possible in sports food experience by becoming the first NFL stadium to offer Just Walk Out technology across all 40+ concession locations," said Rajiv Chopra, VP of Just Walk Out at Amazon Web Services. “Our work together represents the largest single-venue deployment of Just Walk Out technology to date. Stadium operators can serve significantly more guests during peak periods and drive higher revenue, while fans spend more time enjoying the game and less time waiting in line.”

The currently operating Nissan Stadium features some concessions stores offering frictionless shopping based on the AiFi spatial intelligence platform. A number of other pro football teams also currently provide frictionless concessions shopping using Just Walk Out technology, including six stores at Lumen Field in Seattle, seven stores at Commanders Field outside of Washington D.C., and one store at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore (home Stadium of the Baltimore Ravens).

“Our vision is to create a truly frictionless event day experience for every Titans fan and stadium guest,” said Andrew McIntrye, Titans senior VP, technology & innovation. "By implementing Just Walk Out technology, we’re not only eliminating the frustration of waiting in lines but also unlocking more opportunities for guests to enjoy the unique amenities and energy of the new Nissan Stadium."
