  • Miracle Mile Shops plans 60,000-sq.-ft retail/restaurant redevelopment

    Las Vegas -- Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino has begun planning efforts to convert space Harmon Avenue, a 60,000-sq.-ft. area on Miracle Mile Shops’ south end that draws in heavy foot traffic from Las Vegas Boulevard into a restaurant and entertainment destination.

  • Tweet products to your Amazon shopping basket

    Thanks to a partnership between Amazon and Twitter, people can now link their Twitter accounts to their Amazon accounts and shop for items by responding to any tweet with an Amazon product link and hashtag #AmazonCart.

    Customers can link their accounts by going to Amazon.com/AmazonCart.

    The tweet only adds an item to a consumer’s shopping cart, but consumers must log into Amazon to complete their purchases.

    Nordstrom has launched nordstromrack.com, a new e-commerce site and mobile app, built on a shared platform with HauteLook, Nordstrom's flash sale business. The new site gives customers access to shop Nordstrom Rack merchandise alongside HauteLook flash sale events.

    Online retailer Bluefly is looking to leverage Pitney Bowes’ technology and shipping services to help expand the online global reach of their brands to international buyers around the world.

    The U.S. apparel and accessories e-tailer is using Pitney Bowes’s global ecommerce software and international shipping services to help simplify international transactions, improve the online shopping experience for consumers and facilitate international growth.
     

  • Pitney Bowes helps online retailer Bluefly expand global reach

    Stamford, Conn. -- Online retailer Bluefly, which sells discounted brand name apparel and accessories, has selected Pitney Bowes to help expand its global reach.

    The retailer is using Pitney Bowes's global ecommerce software and international shipping services to help offer a seamless and convenient cross-border purchasing experience for consumers. Pitney Bowes will handle global shipping, including customs, taxes and pricing.

  • Staples to acquire PNI Digital Media

    Staples is in the process of acquiring PNI Digital Media, a leading innovator in digital media solutions for retailers, for CDN$1.70 per share, representing a net equity value of approximately CDN$73.9 million.

    The purchase share price represents a premium of 31.8% over the closing price of CDN$1.29 of the PNI shares May 2 on the Toronto Stock Exchange and a premium of 28.9% over the 30 day volume weighted average price of the PNI shares on the TSX for the period ended May 2.
