  • Marcus & Millichap names senior director of National Retail Group

    St. Louis --Marcus & Millichap announced that Brett Chetek has rejoined the firm as senior director of the National Retail Group in the firm’s St. Louis office.
  • Carter’s recognizes two top brokers

    Dallas -- SRS Real Estate Partners announced that two of its brokers have been recognized by their client, Carter’s, for bringing the two most profitable locations nationwide based on a sales-to-rent ratio.

     

    Dawn Greiner, senior VP, and Carey Moen, first VP, both in the SRS Dallas/Ft. Worth office, helped Carter’s sign leases at the two locations. Greiner is the master broker for Carter’s and Moen is a part of the team of brokers that represent the retailer nationwide.

  • Destination Maternity plans Israel expansion

    Philadelphia -- Destination Maternity Corp. will expand into Israel through an international franchise agreement with Israeli fashion retail chain H&O Fashion Ltd. (H&O). Through this relationship, Destination Maternity will introduce its Motherhood Maternity, A Pea in the Pod, and Destination Maternity brands into Israel, with the first franchise locations expected to open in spring 2015.    
  • Signet Jewelers CEO resigns; names COO Mark Light as new chief

    Hamilton, Bermuda –- In a surprise announcement, Signet Jewelers Ltd., the largest jewelry retailer in the U.S., U.K. and Canada, said that its president and COO, Mark Light,  will take over as CEO on Nov. 1. He will replace Signet’s current chief, Michael Barnes, who is resigning from his position and from Signet's board of directors to "pursue opportunities closer to his home in Dallas," effective Oct. 31.

    Tampa, Fla. -- MarketYze, a provider of pricing and promotion intelligence solutions, is partnering with retail technology vendor Revionics Inc. to launch the Competitive Data Partner Program. The new program enables retailers to seamlessly incorporate all sources of competitive data into their competitive positioning strategies.   
  • West Elm to open in El Paso

    Brooklyn, N.Y. -- Home furnishings retailer West Elm will open a store in El Paso, Texas, on Thursday, Oct. 16th.    Located in The Promenade of The Fountains at Farah, the more than 22,000 square foot store will feature a curated selection of products made in Texas, part of West Elm’s Local initiative.
