    Pet Supplies Plus will target California as part of its strategic growth plan for 2016.

    The nation’s largest pet franchise, which has more than 330 locations in 26 states, announced it will expand into the Golden State to grow its base of multi-unit franchise partners.

  • Lumber Liquidators taps Lowe’s veteran as COO

    Lumber Liquidators on Monday announced the appointment of Dennis Knowles as COO, effective March 1, 2016.

    Knowles has served in store operations leadership roles at Lowe's Companies since 2001, most recently as chief store operations officer, and prior to that as senior VP of store operations support and specialty sales and its senior VP of store operations for Lowe's West and South Central Divisions, respectively.

    Los Angeles -- CBRE Group announced that Mark Hunter has joined the company as managing director of retail asset services, the Americas. Hunter will assist CBRE in expanding its industry services for third party management of retail properties further into the mall sector. He will lead CBRE’s offering of services such as asset management, leasing, accounting, consumer marketing and development for malls generally exceeding 500,000 sq. ft.

    Cabela’s EVP and Chief Commercial Officer Scott Williams has been elevated to the role of president and given additional responsibilities in a move that positions him to succeed longtime CEO Tommy Millner. 

    Williams will continue to report to Millner. Williams will take on additional responsibility for U.S. retail operations and all operations in Canada.
