    Santa Monica, Calif. - Hollister Co. will open the Hollister House this summer, focusing an omni-channel marketing campaign on a beach house that will run from Memorial Day weekend through early August. The retailer will feature new summer styles and host music performances at the house all summer long, with consumers able to follow through Hollister’s social media channels.

    PetSmart is hitting the road for its first-ever Inspiration Waggin’ six-city tour in the United States and Canada, and is leveraging social media to promote it.

    As the truck makes its way across the country, dogs, puppies and cats will visit retirement centers, university campuses and local spots so people can benefit from a wagging tail and some unconditional love. The Inspiration Waggin’ will make stops in:

  • Amazon, Twitter partner for easy shopping

    New York -- Amazon has entered into a partnership with Twitter whereby Twitter users can link their accounts to an Amazon account, and add items to the shopping cart by responding to any tweet with an Amazon product link that has the hashtag #AmazonCart.

    In order to take advantage of the service, customers have to connect their Amazon account to their Twitter account, which they can do via amazon.com/AmazonCart.

  • Tweet products to your Amazon shopping basket

    Thanks to a partnership between Amazon and Twitter, people can now link their Twitter accounts to their Amazon accounts and shop for items by responding to any tweet with an Amazon product link and hashtag #AmazonCart.

    Customers can link their accounts by going to Amazon.com/AmazonCart.

    The tweet only adds an item to a consumer’s shopping cart, but consumers must log into Amazon to complete their purchases.

     

     

  • Coco-Cola enhances Freestyle app for social media campaign

    Coca-Cola is enhancing its Coca-Cola Freestyle app. Beginning this month, an enhanced “Create Your Own Mix” feature will allow users to choose from more than 100 drink options to create a customized beverage that they can then pour from dispensers at participating outlets by connecting their smartphones to them.

    The app is free for Android and iOS devices.

  • Tile Shop offers social media temptation

    Fast-growing flooring retailer The Tile Shop is leveraging social media with a clever contest idea to expose its expanding brand to more customers.

    The operator of 92 specialty flooring stores is giving social media users until May 22 to enter its, “Ugliest Kitchen & Bath Contest,” for a change to win $1,000 in free tile and a design consultation. All photo submissions will be eligible for weekly $100 gift card drawings. Homeowners can enter photos of their ugly kitchens and bathrooms to Facebook or Instagram using #thetileshop for a chance to win.
