  • Whole Foods customers help school gardens grow

    AUSTIN, Texas — Whole Foods announced that in just six weeks, its shoppers donated more than $2 million in stores and online to support the School Garden Grant Program, the first major initiative of the Whole Kids Foundation. In partnership with FoodCorps, the Foundation will fund $2,000 grants for schools in the United States and Canada to support the launch or expansion of school gardens.

  • TRU entices shoppers with 10% back rewards

    WAYNE, N.J. — Toys“R”Us announced it will once again offer 10% back on purchases made by new and current members of its loyalty program, Rewards“R”Us, this holiday season. Beginning Sunday, Oct. 30 through Christmas Eve, Rewards“R”Us members can earn 10% back in “R”Us Dollars for every dollar spent on qualifying purchases. “R”Us Dollars earned will be delivered to members via e-mail in January and can be used toward savings on future in-store purchases, the company said.

  • Toys ‘R’ Us to run 10% back holiday promo

    Wayne, N.J. -- Toys “R” Us will again give its loyalty rewards members 10% back on holiday purchases.

    The offer, whereby members of the chain’s rewards club get 10% back in “R Us” dollars for each dollar spent on qualifying purchases, is available from Oct. 30 through Christmas Eve. The promotional dollars will be sent to customers via email in January and can be used on future in-store purchases.

  • Zale expands customer financing options with NewComLink

    Austin, Texas -- Retail credit solution-provider NewComLink said Tuesday that Zale Corp. has implemented the NewComLink platform as part of its new program to provide alternative financing options to its U.S. customers.

    Zale announced the new alternative financing program on Aug. 31, which is currently available in all Zales, Zales Outlet and Gordon’s retail stores.

  • Stop & Shop expands Scan It! mobile app

    Quincy, Mass. -- The Stop & Shop Supermarket Co. said Tuesday it has expanded the availability of Scan It! Mobile – a grocery app that allows customers to use their personal mobile device to scan, tally and bag their groceries while they shop.

    First introduced last June for iPhone 3GS and 4G in three stores, Scan It! Mobile is now also available for many Android devices which will double the reach of customers. In addition, the pilot will expand to an additional 42 Stop & Shop stores in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
