    SEATTLE - Amazon.com  has added a new feature, called ‘Make an Offer,’ that allows customers to negotiate lower prices on thousands of items. The new pricing feature allows customers to offer to buy items at even lower prices. If agreed upon, customers can then purchase the items at a savings from the listed price.

    Melville, New York - A&G Realty Partners, a commercial real estate, advisory and investment group, has been retained by Alco Stores to manage the sale of approximately 200 Alco store locations, as well as the company’s former headquarters. The sale is a result of the retailer’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing on October 12, 2014.

  • FirstData: Retail dollar volume up 5.3% Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday

    Year-over-year (YOY) retail dollar volume from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday grew 5.3%, a decrease from last year’s growth of 7.4%, according to First Data 2014 SpendTrend Holiday Shopping Spend Analysis, which examined consumer spending from more than one million merchant locations over the five-day period.Similarly, retail transaction growth was 5.0% compared to 6.0% in 2013.  
  • Simon announces plans to build Tulsa Premium Outlets

    Tulsa, Oklahoma - Simon announced plans to bring Tulsa Premium Outlets to northeast Oklahoma. The project will be built in two phases at the intersection of US Highway 75 and West 61st Street in Tulsa. The first phase of the build out will be approximately 318,000 sq. ft. and an additional 82,000 sq. ft. will make up the second phase for a total of 400,000 sq. ft.  
  • RadioShack gets ‘weird’ for the holidays

    Eighties sensation Weird Al Yankovic is offering RadioShack a new hope for the holidays.

    Yankovic is appearing in the chain's holiday ad campaign called "Gift Smart.” In the ad, he sings his own unique take on the holiday song “Toyland.”

    "He's tech-savvy, smart and a social media guru," said RadioShack chief marketing officer Jennifer Warren. Yankovich has more than 3.5 million Twitter followers and 1.6 million Facebook fans. "I don't think there could be a better fit for our brand right now."
