  • Go Greenly will open at Riverfront Plaza

    Hackensack, N.J. -- Crossroads Cos. said that frozen yogurt franchise RCD Frozen Treats will open a 1,750-sq.-ft. store at Riverfront Plaza, located in Hackensack, N.J.

    RCD Treats is a franchise of Go Greenly.

    Riverfront Plaza is a 130,000-sq.-ft. neighborhood shopping center anchored by ShopRite. Other national retailers and service providers at the center include Chase Bank, GNC, H&R Block, KFC, Radio Shack, Subway, Supercuts, Taco Bell and Verizon Wireless.

  • Refund delays, weather dampen comps at TJX, Ross

    FRAMINGHAM, Mass. and PLEASANTON, Calif. — The TJX Companies and Ross Stores reported comparable-store results that were less than impressive from what the two discount retailers usually deliver.

    TJX reported that sales for the four-week period ended March 2, were $1.8 billion, up 7% over the $1.6 billion achieved during the four-week period ended Feb. 25, 2012. Consolidated comparable-store sales for the month were up 1%.

  • Buffalo Wild Wings to open at Glendale Town Center

    Indianapolis -- Kite Realty Group said that Buffalo Wild Wings will open on a 0.92 acre outparcel at Glendale Town Center, located in Indianapolis.

    In other Kite Realty news, Maurices has leased 4,751 sq. ft. at Red Bank Commons, located in Evansville, Ind., and Hair Studio Artists leased 1,241 sq. ft. at Delray Marketplace, in Delray Beach, Fla.  

     

  • DSW steps up luxury offering with new site

    COLUMBUS, Ohio — DSW Inc. has launched Luxe810.com, a new website located at dsw.com/luxe810 that offers top luxury brands at up to 50% off. The Luxe810 assortment includes shoes, handbags, jewelry, and other accessories for men and women.  Among the brands featured on the site are Gucci, Prada, Bottega Veneta, YSL, Sergio Rossi, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Pucci, Giuseppe Zanotti and more. 

  • rue21 names chief administrative officer

    Warrendale, Pa. -- rue21 announced that Stacy B. Siegal, the company's current VP, general counsel and corporate secretary, has been promoted to the additional position of chief administrative officer.

    Siegal has served as the company's general counsel and corporate secretary since March 2010. In her expanded role, she will assume responsibility for human resources division while also retaining oversight of the company's legal matters, regulatory compliance and corporate communications.

     

  • Sycamore Partners to acquire Hot Topic for $600 million

    City of Industry, Calif. -- Hot Topic announced it has agreed to be acquired by New York-based private equity firm Sycamore Partners for $14.00 per share in cash, or a total of approximately $600 million.

    The agreement, unanimously approved by Hot Topic’s board of directors, represents a premium of approximately 30% over Hot Topic’s closing stock price on March 6, 2013.

  • Alexander McQueen to open on Madison Avenue

    New York -- SL Green Realty Corp. announced Wednesday that fashion retailer Alexander McQueen has signed a 15-year lease for a mid-block retail space at 747 Madison Avenue.   

    The tenant is expected to move into the space during third quarter 2013.
     
    The retail co-op interest at 747 Madison is owned by a joint venture that includes SL Green, Jeff Sutton and Harel Insurance Co.
