  • Ross Dress For Less to open at Millcreek Mall

    Erie, Pa. -- Youngstown, Ohio-based Cafaro Co. said that Ross Dress for Less will open a store at the Millcreek Mall Complex near Erie, Pa.

    The new store will open in the Millcreek Pavilion section of the complex this fall. It will occupy more than 25,000 sq. ft. next to Old Navy.

    Millcreek Mall Complex, located in Millcreek Township, comprises more than two million sq. ft. of shopping, lodging, dining and entertainment.
     

  • Finish Line Q4 profit up, but forecasts difficult first quarter

    Indianapolis -- Finish Line Inc. posted earnings of $41.9 million for the fourth quarter, compared with $34.2 million in the year-ago period. But the chain forecast a plunge in first-quarter earnings due to lower margins.

    Sales in the quarter ended March 3, 2012, rose 18.6% to $456.3 million, ahead of analyst estimates of $432.62 million. Same-store sales rose 10.8%.

    For the full fiscal year, consolidated net sales increased 11.4% to $1.37 billion. Same-store sales increased 9.2%.

    Indianapolis -- The Finish Line announced that Gart Capital Partners will invest $10 million in Finish Line’s Running Specialty Group, with the goal of creating the largest operator of specialty running shoe business in the United States.

  • Freedom Crossing, first open-air center on military base, announces new tenants

    El Paso, Texas -- Freedom Crossing at Fort Bliss, the first-ever, open-air shopping center to be part of a United States military installation, announced that A'Gaci, O'shoes, and Texas Roadhouse will soon open at the retail destination. Comprised of more than 461,000 sq. ft. of gross leasable area, Freedom Crossing is one of the only shopping centers to be built in the United States in recent years, and the first opportunity for businesses to privately operate within an open-air center on a U.S. military installation

  • Modell’s Sporting Goods opens new New Jersey store

    Paterson, N.J. -- New York City-based Modell’s Sporting Goods said Wednesday it will open a new 7,000-sq.-ft. store in Paterson, N.J., on Thursday.

    The announcement comes off the heels of three store openings earlier in March in Brooklyn, N.Y.; Fresh Meadow, N.Y.; and Wayne, N.J.

    The retailer operates 151 stores located in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. 
     

  • Robert Graham to open store in Mall at Short Hills

    New York -- Robert Graham announced that it has signed a lease agreement to open a store in The Mall at Short Hills, Short Hills, N.J. The store will carry the complete range of Robert Graham-branded merchandise, including men's sportswear, premium denim, tailored clothing, furnishings, accessories, outerwear, and women's sportswear.

    The Robert Graham store will open this summer.

  • Lululemon Q4 profit up 34.2%; same-store sales jump 26%

    New York --  Lululemon Athletica Inc.’s income rose 34.2% to $73.5 million for the three months ended Jan. 29, from $54.8 million in the year ago period.

    Revenue in the fourth quarter was up 51.4% to $371.5 million, from $245.4 million. Same-store sales increased 26%.

    For the year, sales rose 40.6% to $1 billion. Profits were up 51.1% to $184.1 million.
     

  • Claire's profit rises in Q4

    Chicago -- Claire's Stores reported Thursday that net income for the quarter ended Jan. 28 rose to $39.5 million, from $21 million in the year-ago period.

    Sales edged up 3.1% to $434.9 million, compared with $422 million last year. Same-store sales rose 0.9%, consisting of a 3.4% increase in North America and a 3.6% decrease in Europe.
