Bakers Footwear Group loss widens in Q1
St. Louis Bakers Footwear Group reported Tuesday that it recorded a net loss of $3.5 million in the first quarter, compared with a loss of $2.8 million in the year-ago period.
The specialty footwear retailer also said that sales for the quarter ended May 1 dropped 3.2%, from $45 million to $43.5 million.
Same-store sales dipped 1.6%.
Bakers, which operates 239 stores in the United States, said it expects to receive notification from Nasdaq that it will be delisted from the Nasdaq Capital Market as soon as this week.
