  • Fiesta taps AMTdirect’s real estate management expertise

    Charlotte, N.C. — Fiesta Restaurant Group has selected the AMTdirect software platform to manage its portfolio of more than 300 company-owned and franchised locations in the U.S. and Latin America.

    AMTdirect’s integrated platform will streamline processes, consolidate real estate data across the business and provide Fiesta with a 360-degree view of its entire portfolio.

  • Jerry Bob’s Restaurant expands in Tucson

    Tucson, Ariz. — Jerry Bob’s Restaurant plans to open its 15th restaurant in the Tucson area — in River Crossing. JB Restaurants V, the franchisee, will own the 2,400-sq.-ft restaurant that is slated to open in January 2014.

  • Village on Pooler Parkway nets seven new retailers

    Pooler, Ga. — With the addition of seven new leases, GBT Realty Corporation’s Village on Pooler Parkway is 95% leased months before its scheduled opening in the first quarter of next year. Anchored by T.J.Maxx, Ross Dress for Less, Michaels and PetSmart, the 143,000-sq.-ft. development has now added Kirkland’s, Hibbett Sports, Visionworks, Legacy Nails, Sprint, GNC and Kay Jewelers to the mix.

  • KeyPoint brokers sale of Shrewsbury, Mass., retail property

    Burlington, Mass. — Torchlight Investors has sold the property at 476 Boston Turnpike. KeyPoint Partners represented Torchlight in the transaction.

    B-W Warrenville Operations bought the property, a former Borders Books store, prominently located in a retail-intensive section of Route 9 near Stop & Shop, Home Depot, Bed Bath & Beyond, Bob’s Stores and Staples.

    The new owner plans to redevelop the site for Buffalo Wild Wings and Tile Shop.

     

  • Spris opens at Miami’s Southeast Financial Center

    Miami — Gourmet pizza and Panini restaurant Spris has opened in Miami’s Southeast Financial Center in the central business district.

    The 1,512-sq.-ft. restaurant is the most recent in a series of Miami homegrown restaurateurs to come to the 1.225 million sq. ft. office tower and plaza.

     

  • New Red Robins in Staten Island and Baltimore

    Greenwood Village, Colo. — Red Robin Gourmet Burgers has announced the opening of new restaurants in Staten Island, N.Y., and Baltimore.

     There currently are 482 Red Robin locations across the U.S. and Canada, including 343 company-owned restaurants and five Red Robin’s Burger Works locations, and 134 franchised restaurants.

     

  • Wal-Mart and McDonald’s make Top 20 Best Companies for Leadership ranking

    Philadelphia -- Wal-Mart Stores and McDonald’s were the only retailers to crack the Hay Group’s eighth annual Best Companies for Leadership Study Top 20 list.

    The study surveyed nearly 18,000 individuals at more than 2,200 organizations worldwide to examine how companies develop their leaders and foster cultures of innovation. This year, Procter & Gamble led the Top 20. Wal-Mart ranked No. 7, and McDonald’s came in at No. 8.
