David's Bridal launches agentic AI wedding planning tool
David’s Bridal is introducing an artificial intelligence-equipped full-stack wedding planning platform.
Known as Pearl Planner, the platform is part of a broader shift to an asset-light, AI-powered business model for David's Bridal known as "Aisle to Algorithm." Based on agentic AI, which analyzes massive amounts of data in near-real-time and then automatically takes action based on the results, Pearl Planner combines AI with proprietary intellectual property trained on 75 years of wedding experience combined with real-time data.
According to David’s Bridal, the platform offers a hyper-personalized experience that continuously improves by learning from new trends, planning behaviors, and evolving preferences.
Pearl Planner is designed to serve as a 24/7 AI wedding planning assistant that can walk a couple through the entire process, including budgeting, registry, and vendor research.
During the closed beta, users can test direct AI chat functionality, a proprietary style quiz that builds tailored recommendations, a task board that breaks planning into steps with progress, an automatically generated planning timeline that will update based on wedding date and progress, and the ability to earn points with David’s Diamond Loyalty Program.

The public platform launch is coming early summer 2025. It will include updates on new features and integrations with partners such as MyRegistry, Dynadot, Shutterfly, Google, and local wedding vendors across the nation.
“With Pearl Planner, we’re delivering something the industry has never seen: a deeply personalized, AI-powered partner guiding couples through every detail of their day—on their terms–and completely for free,” said Kelly Cook, CEO of David’s Bridal. "Pearl Planner is your 24/7 wedding concierge that doesn’t just plan with you, it 'thinks' for you."
Vendor functionality
In addition, Pearl Planner is designed as a two-sided platform to support wedding vendors, venues and service providers that can now sign to gain early access to features including AI-based lead generation.
Wedding vendors can also leverage the platform optimize customer profiles to create smart recommendations; obtain real-time first-party data and insights into planning trends, user behaviors and localized demand; and utilize a simplified intelligent dashboard.
In fall 2025, David’s will launch Pearl Planner Pro, a separate platform enabling professional wedding planners to leverage proprietary AI and integrations to better serve their customers and streamline their own tasks.
"Planning your wedding should be just as magical as your wedding day itself – Pearl Planner is turning a fragmented, overwhelming process filled with chaotic spreadsheets and never-ending checklists, into a streamlined, personalized, intelligent, joy-filled journey," said Elina Vilk, president and chief business officer of David’s Bridal.
Wedding vendors can join Pearl Planner during the beta period.
