    St. Petersburg, Fla. - HSN Inc. has named Jeffrey Kuster as president of Cornerstone and executive officer of HSNi. Kuster, 48, has held various leadership positions in the apparel, fashion and retail industries, most recently as executive VP, chief marketing and strategy officer for Berkshire Hathaway's Fruit of the Loom.

    HSN Inc. has named Jeffrey Kuster president of Cornerstone and executive officer of HSNi. Kuster will report to HSNi CEO Mindy Grossman.

    Kuster, 48, has held various leadership positions in the apparel, fashion and retail industries, most recently as EVP and chief marketing and strategy officer for Berkshire Hathaway's Fruit of the Loom.

  • HSN beats Street with Q3 profit, revenue

    St. Petersburg, Fla. -- HSN Inc. beat Wall Street expectations for profit and revenue in the third quarter of fiscal 2014. Net income totaled $39.5 million, down 6% from $42.1 million in the prior year period.   A higher effective tax rate helped decrease profits at HSN. Net sales rose 5% to $837.5 million from $798.9 million. Digital sales were up 7% and mobile sales increased 37%, with mobile now representing 16% of HSN’s total business.  
  • HSN celebrates holidays with special events, deals

    St. Petersburg, Fla. –- HSN is offering a range of special events and deals for the 2014 holiday season. The interactive retailer will offer special “Black Friday” sale events on Nov. 7, 14 and 21, and also run its annual “Thanksgifting Weekend” event Thursday, Nov. 27 to Monday, Dec. 1 with special “Doorbuster” sale items.  
  • L'Oreal USA to buy Carol's Daugher

    L'Oréal USA has announced plans to acquire multi-cultural beauty brand Carol's Daughter.

    Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

    Created by Lisa Price in 1993, Carol's Daughter offers a range of products that are available at specialty beauty stores, mass retailers, on HSN, through e-commerce and at Carol's Daughter branded stores in New York City. For the 12 months ended Sept. 30, Carol's Daughter had net sales of $27 million.

  • L’Oreal USA acquires omnichannel beauty retailer Carol’s Daughter

    New York -- L'Oreal USA will acquire New York-based omnichannel beauty retailer Carol's Daughter, which sells its products through specialty beauty stores, mass retailers, HSN, e-commerce and two Carol's Daughter-branded stores in New York City.
  • HSN, TiVo launch Shop By Remote

    St. Petersburg, Fla. –- HSN Inc. is partnering with television services provider TiVo to launch Shop By Remote, HSN's interactive shopping experience. With a click of a button TiVo users can now shop for thousands of products featured on HSN shows.    Located within the Apps & Games menu on TiVo Central, users can visit the HSN app to view and purchase recently featured items or browse HSN's catalogue of more than 40,000 products.
