  • Dunkin' Donuts names marketing chief

    Dunkin' Donuts has tapped an agency marketing/advertising veteran to head up its U.S. marketing efforts.   The company appointed Tony Weisman, 57, to the position of U.S. chief marketing officer, effective in late September. He most recently served as the North American CEO of DigitasLBi, a global digital agency network, which has worked on the Dunkin' Donuts account for some six years.   
  • Report: Dunkin' Donuts trying on a new name

    What's in a name? That's a question Dunkin' Donuts is wrestling with.   In a move to get people to think of the chain more as a coffee destination, the company is considering eliminating "Donuts" from its name, according to several media reports. In a test, the chain will open a new location, in Pasadena, California, that will be simply called Dunkin'. Several other locations will also be given the condensed name.

    An industry veteran has been tapped to lead operations at of the nation's fastest-growing fast-casual restaurant companies.    Mod Super Fast Pizza Holdings has appointed  Paul Twohig to the new role of COO,  effective immediately. The appointment comes as the company continues its rapid expansion in the United States and abroad. With Twohig’s arrival, Chris Schultz, former senior VP of operations, will take on the new role of senior VP, international to lead Mod’s development abroad.
