  • New retailers come to West Manchester Town Center

    York, Pa. – The revamped West Manchester Town Center is announcing the latest group of retailers to open there. DSW Inc. and Charming Charlie both opened in April, with GNC and Kay Jewelers expected to open in May.

    Ann Taylor Loft GameStop, Kirkland’s and Petco each opened during the winter months. Mall anchors Kohl’s, Regal Cinemas and Wal-Mart, along with Artesian Pools & Spas and USA Optical, have remained open throughout construction.

  • Burlington keeps turnaround going with 25 new stores planned

    Buoyed by impressive fourth quarter sales, Burlington Stores Inc. is accelerating its expansion strategy, with plans to open 25 new stores in 2015 and a long-term goal of 1,000 stores coast-to-coast.

    The off-price retailer reported that total revenue for the fourth quarter ended Jan. 31 grew 10% to $1.5 billion from $1.34 billion. Same-store sales rose 6.7%.

  • Burlington Stores beats Street with strong Q4; will open 25 net stores

    Burlington, N.J. – Burlington Stores Inc. beat Wall Street expectations for earnings and sales in a strong fourth quarter of fiscal 2014. Reductions in store payroll and advertising helped drive a net income increase of 49% to $94.86 million, from $63.58 million.

    Burlington Stores plans to open 25 net new stores in fiscal 2015.

    Total revenue grew 10% to $1.5 billion from $1.34 billion. Same-store sales rose 6.7%

  • Fresh start for Burlington in 2015

    After posting stronger than expected holiday sales, Burlington Stores Inc. has named a new chief financial officer.

    Marc Katz, formerly the company’s EVP of merchandise support and information technology, is replacing Todd Weyhrich, who retired this month.

  • Burlington Stores Q3 loss grown

    Florence, N.J. – Burlington Stores Inc. increased its net loss to $34.21 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2014 from $16.86 million in the same period a year earlier amid increased expenses net loss.   By the end of fiscal 2014, Burlington Stores expects to have opened 24 new stores and closed two stores, for a total store count of 543.

    Burlington Stores Inc. CEO Tom Kingsbury reported an unexpected sales spike in the third quarter, prompting the company to enthusiastically boost its outlook for the year.

  • H.J. Martin & Son completes major project for Burlington

    Green Bay, Wisconsin - H.J. Martin announced it has completed a major project for national retailer Burlington Coat Factory.  The project primarily consisted of fixture installations in 49 stores across the continental United States as part of a remodeling of Burlington’s home and accessories departments.  
  • Sheetz opens new Burlington, N.C., distribution center

    Altoona, Penn. -- C-store operator Sheetz cut the ceremonial red ribbon to officially open its new Burlington (North Carolina) Distribution Center.    The $33 million facility contains a Sheetz Bros kitchen, distribution and warehousing center for the Sheetz distribution fleet. There is also be space for various corporate support departments.
