  • Ikea to unveil newer, more energy efficient store in Canada

    Burlington, Ontario -- Ikea Canada said that it has turned its focus to sustainability in Canada during a period of expansion in the country.

    As the retailer opens three stores this year in Canada, it said it is committed to having this new wave of stores be 40% more efficient than the last store built in 2004.

  • KeyPoint Partners to manage, lease Crossings at Fox Run

    Newington, N.H. -- Burlington, Mass.-based KeyPoint Partners said it has been awarded the property management and leasing contracts for The Crossings at Fox Run, a 475,000-sq.-ft. power center in Newington, N.H.

    The property will be handled out of the firm’s Burlington, Mass., corporate headquarters. Heitman LLC awarded the contracts.

  • Middlesex Commons undergoing redevelopment

    Burlington, Mass. -- Columbia, S.C.-based Edens & Avant announced Wednesday details of its redevelopment of Middlesex Commons retail center in Burlington, Mass.

    With a relocated and expanded Market Basket, Old Navy and a new Nordstrom Rack and DSW as key anchors, Middlesex Commons has been redesigned to better connect to the local community by offering a more dynamic retail mix and a more personalized shopping environment.

  • Walmart to expand to supercenter in Liberty Square Center

    Burlington, N.J. -- Purchase, N.Y.-based National Realty & Development Corp. said Monday it will expand Liberty Square Center in Burlington, N.J. The construction will take place over the next 12 months and is scheduled to be completed in spring 2012.

  • Fameco appointed receiver for three New Jersey properties

    Plymouth Meeting, Pa. -- Fameco Management Services said that Columbia Bank in conjunction with the Superior Court of New Jersey has appointed it as Rent Receiver/Property Manager for three properties in Burlington, Edison and Kenvil, N.J.

    The properties include a 15,530-sq.-ft. site located in Burlington anchored by Family Dollar, a 30,000-sq.-ft. unanchored center in Edison and a vacant 28,000-sq.-ft. freestanding building in Kenvil.
