  • Survey: Almost half of smartphone traffic comes from search

    Pittsburgh – Smartphone users are looking for something. According to a new report from Branding Brand's Mobile Commerce Index, 43% of all smartphone traffic came from search in first quarter 2015, a 5% increase compared to fourth quarter 2014.

    According to the report, 27% of smartphone traffic arrived direct; 16% arrived from email; and 14% arrived from referrals.

  • Costco, Amazon and Apple tops in customer loyalty, according to study

    New York -- Costco, Amazon.com and Apple  score highest in customer loyalty, according to the Net Promoter Consumer Study.

    The study ranks more than 220 brands, such as Costco, Amazon.com, Apple and more across 22 U.S. industry sectors, including financial services, insurance, technology, online entertainment, retail stores, electronics, travel and hospitality, and telecommunications.

  • GameStop to expand technology brands segment with 350 to 550 stores

    Grapevine, Texas -- GameStop on Thursday said it plans to open between 350 to 550 stores in its technology brands segment (whose banners include Simply Mac, Cricket and Spring Mobile, which sells post-paid AT&T services and wireless products through its 358 AT&T branded stores) while closing about 3%,  some  200, of its 6,000 GameStop video locations in 2015.

  • GameStop eyes growth strategy with emerging formats

    GameStop’s strongest growth in 2015 will have little to do with gaming as the company plans to open between 350 to 550 stores in technology brands segment while paring its GameStop store presence.

    The company’s technology brands segment is comprised of 361 ATT&T brand stores, 63 Cricket branded stores that offer wireless products and services and 60 Simply Mac Stores. Meanwhile, the company has indicated it will close 3%, or nearly 200 of its approximately 6,000 traditional video game stores.
