    Little Rock, Ark. -- New England Development opened Outlets of Little Rock in Little Rock, Arkansas, on Oct. 16. The center welcomed thousands of area residents and visitors to shop at Arkansas’ only outlet center.

    The newest destination for shopping in the region is home to first-to-market fashion retailers: Under Armour, Asics, Bass Factory Store, Brooks Brothers Factory Store, Cole Haan, Levi's Outlet Store, Lindt Chocolate Shop, Restoration Hardware and Skechers.

  • Hollywood lures marketing chief from Internet giant

    Sunnyvale, Calif. – The marketing head of a major Internet company has heard the siren call of Hollywood. Kathy Savitt, chief marketing officer of Yahoo, is joining Burbank, California-based movie and TV production studio STX Entertainment in October as president of digital business.

    Savitt, who previously served as VP of communications and Amazon.com and chief marketing officer at American Eagle Outfitters, and also founded now defunct social commerce site Lockerz, had been in charge of marketing at Yahoo for three years.

    Michael Leedy, chief marketing officer of American Eagle Outfitters Inc., will step down from his position effective Sept. 15. The company has an active search for a successor underway.

    Leedy has committed to serve in an advisory role if needed to ensure a smooth transition. American Eagle did not comment on the reason for Leedy’s departure, and his LinkedIn profile still indicates he works there.
