    ROANOKE, Va. — Advance Auto Parts announced that Jim Durkin will join Autopart International as president. 

    “Jim is an experienced executive with a great track record of success in delivering results by building and developing strong teams that sustain their performance over time. We are very excited about the leadership skills he will bring as we continue our growth,” said Roger Patkin, CEO of AI.

  • Advance Auto Parts Q1 EPS up 13.4%

    ROANOKE, Va. — Advance Auto Parts reported that first quarter earnings per diluted share were $1.35 , which was a 13.4% increase over the first quarter last year. Net income for the quarter was $109.6 million compared with $109.4 million for the same period last year.

  • Advance Auto Parts to open at Ashburn Farm Village Center

    Ashburn, Va. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased space at Ashburn Farm Village Center, located in Ashburn, Va., to Advance Auto Parts.

    The new, 7,134-sq.-ft. store is slated to open later this year.

    The 89,000-sq.-ft. shopping center is anchored by Global Foods Market, alongside national retailers such as Hair Cuttery, Pizza Hut and Goodyear.

  • Advance Auto extends lease at 25th St. Shopping Center

    Easton, Pa. -- New York City-based The Lightstone Group said that Advance Auto Parts has signed a seven-year, 9,000-sq.-ft. lease extension at 25th Street Shopping Center in Easton, Pa.

    The 25th Street Shopping Center is a 131,000-sq.-ft. retail strip corridor home to CVS, RadioShack, Petco, Retro Fitness, Jenny Craig, McDonald's, Pizza Hut and Sherwin-Williams.

  • Advance Auto to open at Shoal Creek Mall

    Cambridge, Md. -- Tarrytown, N.Y.-based  DLC Management Corp. announced that Advance Auto will open an 8,125-sq.-ft. store at Shoal Creek Mall in Cambridge, Md.

    The retailer, which signed a 10-year with DLC, will join a newly opened Walgreens anchor at the 67,248-sq.-ft. shopping center.

    Advance Auto is slated to open this fall.

  • Advance Auto Parts 4Q EPS surges

    It was almost all good news for Advance Auto parts this week, as the company reported record fourth-quarter sales and profits. Fourth-quarter earnings per share increased 46% to 57 cents compared with 36 cents during the comparable period the prior year, and full-year profits rose to $3.95 from $2.83 the prior year.

  • One stop shopping gets new meaning at tax time

    Jackson-Hewitt tax preparation kiosks are now open in more than 2,000 Walmart stores in anticipation of an onslaught of consumers eager for their refund to arrive as soon as possible. Nearly half of those who receive a refund get it in February, according to IRS data cited by Walmart, so the retailer is touting the presence of Jackson-Hewitt kiosks in its stores and a preparation fee of $38 for the most basic of returns, the 1040EZ, with only two W2s.
