City Furniture is letting customers use its interactive augmented reality tool to customize and visualize a new product category.

In March 2025, City Furniture deployed the 3D Cloud 360 Spins, WebAR and City Furniture 3D Room Planner tools to let customers examine products from any angle with interactive 360 spins and see furniture in their space, as well as design rooms, with AR functionality.
Now, the retailer is launching the new 3D Cloud Sectional Configurator solution on its e-commerce site. The hybrid shopping tool enables customers and sales associates to build sectionals, review dimensions and download 3D Cloud AR solutions.
The configurator is accessible directly from City Furniture’s e-commerce product detail pages and is available for use with a store associate during showroom visits. The retailer seeks to drive more sales by enabling both customers and associates to create custom configurations of any size and to complete the purchase online or in a store.
Customers can configure layouts with endless variations, select fabric choices and choose components directly on the product page. Dimensions update automatically as pieces are added, removed or rearranged and customers can visualize a configuration in their space.
In addition, shoppers can download screenshots to compare options or discuss with family and/or a sales associate, while associates can create custom SKUs on the fly and sell any size sectional.
According to the retailer, shoppers average about eight pieces per session and more than 30% add their configuration to cart. Until now, City Furniture has sold only pre-set sectional combinations online.
"The 3D Cloud Sectional Configurator makes designing a custom sectional in any possible configuration simple and enjoyable," said Andrew Koenig, CEO of CityFurniture. "Customers can explore options, confirm live measurements, and see the fit at home before they buy. We are already seeing strong engagement, with customers spending nearly seven minutes in the experience and around 10% of product page visitors choosing to customize a sectional in the tool."
City Furniture, a South-Florida-based, family-owned American furniture and mattress retailer and fine upholstery manufacturer and one of America's Top 20 furniture retailers, more than 25 showrooms from Miami through Vero Beach, and in Southwest and Central Florida, as well as fourteen Ashley Home Store showrooms as the brand's Southeast and Southwest Florida licensee.
