  • Gracious Home acquired by Americas Retail Flagship Fund

    NEW YORK - Gracious Home, a home goods retailer with stores in New York City's Upper West and Upper East side neighborhoods, as well as online at gracioushome.com, was acquired by Americas Retail Flagship Fund LLC. The company under its prior ownership had filed for bankruptcy protection in August.

  • European Wax Center to open at Indian Springs Center

    The Woodlands, Texas -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased retail space in The Woodlands, Texas, at Indian Springs Center to European Wax Center.

    Specializing in facial and body waxing, European Wax Center has leased 2,528 sq. ft., bringing the center to 99% leased. The tenant is slated to open for business in February 2011.

    The 136,624-sq.-ft. shopping center is anchored by H.E.B. alongside national retailers such as Subway, Edible Arrangements, Massage Envy and Supercuts.

  • Appleton Learning Center to open at Woodway Collection

    Houston -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has leased retail space in Houston at Woodway Collection to Appleton Learning Center.

    Specializing in tutoring services, group classes, student testing and other related services, Appleton Learning Center has leased 2,440 sq. ft. and is slated to open in February 2011.

    The 111,165-sq.-ft. shopping center is anchored by Randalls alongside national retailers such as Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Pearle Vision and Chase Bank.

  • Children’s Place taps Rhys Commercial for Connecticut expansion

    Stamford, Conn. -- Rhys Commercial announced that The Children’s Place has retained it to handle the retailer’s expansion across Connecticut.

    According to RHYS, which is actively seeking out locations in densely populated and well-trafficked markets throughout the state, The Children’s Place generally requires between 4,000 and 4,500 sq. ft. of space. The retailer is looking to open new stores in potential infill markets.

  • Shoe Carnival to open at Village Shoppes at Gainesville

    Gainesville, Ga. -- The Atlanta office of Dallas-based SRS Real Estate Partners said that Shoe Carnival recently opened a 9,165-sq.-ft. store in Gainesville, Ga., in the Village Shoppes at Gainesville.

    Neighboring retailers include Marshalls, Ross Dress for Less, Old Navy and Publix.

    The landlord of the center is Inland US Management, LLC.

  • Grubb & Ellis bolsters lease administration capabilities

    Santa Ana, Calif. -- Grubb & Ellis Co. announced that Susan E. Calvert and Joe I. Munoz have joined the company’s Lease Administration group.

    Calvert, who joins as manager, Lease Administration, spent two years as a real estate administrator with SRS Real Estate Partners, where she was responsible for commercial portfolios spanning approximately 350 locations. Munoz, who will also serve on the lease administration team, spent seven years with SRS Real Estate Partners, ultimately rising to the position of lead real estate administrator. 

  • Three new tenants open at Commons at Town Center

    Boca Raton, Fla. -- Woolbright Development announced that the following three stores have recently signed leases at The Commons at Town Center in Boca Raton, Fla., and are now open for business.

    Plato’s Closet occupies 3,000 sq .ft., Prime Cigar & Wine Bar occupies 2,335 sq. ft., and Jamie’s Boutique, which sells high-end women's contemporary and denim apparel, occupies 1,235 sq. ft.

    The 117,921-sq.-ft. Commons at Town Center is anchored by Barbara Katz, TooJays and Moe's Southwest Grill.

  • Marshalls opens at Springdale Mall

    Mobile, Ala. -- Centro Properties Group announced that Marshalls has opened a 26,000-sq.-ft. store at Springdale Mall, located in Mobile, Ala.

    New York City-based Centro Properties Group is the owner of Springdale Mall.
