  • Jos. A. Bank to open at Willow Grove Park this spring

    Willow Grove, Pa. -- Philadelphia-based Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust said that Jos. A. Bank will open a new store at its Willow Grove Park shopping mall this spring.

    The 4,465-sq.-ft. store will be located next to Bloomingdale’s and will join Men’s Wearhouse and Tux, Express, J. Crew, Banana Republic and Guess, expanding Willow Grove Park’s men’s fashion collection.

  • NAI Capital adds big-box specialist to retail executive roster

    Encino, Calif. -- NAI Capital announced it has appointed Vicki R. Donkin as senior VP within the firm’s Ontario, Calif., office, effective immediately.

    Donkin, who will specialize in investment and land sales/leasing, and marketing and cost benefit analyses for retail and non-retail properties, was previously VP with Present Value Properties of Tustin, Calif., where she marketed tenant and landlord big-box locations.
     

  • Shoppes at Chino Hills to add two new restaurants

    Chino Hills, Calif. -- The Shoppes at Chino Hills announced that it is adding Dillon’s Irish Pub & Grill, along with Dripp coffee boutique and ice shop, to its tenant lineup.

    The new restaurants join P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Chipotle Mexican Grill, California Pizza Kitchen, Yard House and Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill at the shopping center.

  • Potbelly Sandwich to open first New York location

    New York City -- TF Cornerstone said it recently signed a 15-year, 2,800-sq.-ft. lease with Potbelly Sandwich Shop at 2 Gold Street, a 650 unit luxury residential building.

    The location is the chain’s first in New York. Potbelly joins existing tenants Pret-A-Manger, Goodburger and Hot Clay Oven.

  • Developers Diversified expands enterprise risk management commitment

    Beachwood, Ohio -- Developers Diversified Realty Corp. announced Friday it has furthered its commitment to risk management with the formalization of its Enterprise Risk Management Program.

    The new program, according to Developers Diversified, is an integration of strategy, process, people and technology that promotes the identification, prioritization, ownership and management of the company's critical risks.

  • Construction to add 9,100 sq. ft. of new retail space at Seminole Shoppes

    Neptune Beach, Fla. -- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said it has started construction on an additional 9,100-sq.-ft. building at Seminole Shoppes, located in Neptune Beach, Fla., for six new side shops.

    Leases have already been signed with Hurricane Grill & Wings for 2,940 sq. ft. and TCBY for 1,400 sq. ft. in the new building, slated for completion in late spring.

  • Wal-Mart establishes East Coast office in Atlanta

    Bentonville, Ark. -- Wal-Mart Stores said it will open a new office in Atlanta, positioning the retailer to more effectively manage nearly 1,600 stores in 20 eastern U.S. states and allow it to focus on opportunities to grow its business in states such as New York.

    The new eastern business unit will be run by Rosalind Brewer, president of Walmart East and executive VP of Walmart U.S.

  • Wet Seal profit drops in Q4, will add 30 net new stores in 2011

    Foothill Ranch, Calif. -- The Wet Seal reported Thursday that net income for the fourth quarter ended Jan. 29 dropped to $5.3 million, compared with $74.2 million in the year-ago period. Last year’s quarter included a non-cash tax benefit of $64.7 million.

    Sales rose to $165.5 million from $151 million a year earlier. Same-store sales increased 2.3%. Same-store sales for Wet Seal increased 1.9% and for Arden B increased 4.8%.
