  • Cheesesteak, financial tenants to Centre Plaza

    Bensalem, Pa. -- Philly It Cheesesteaks and MGM Financial Strategies Inc. have signed leases at the 43,550-sq.-ft. Centre Plaza in Bensalem, Pa., according to Levin Management Corp.

    Philly It Cheesesteaks opened a 1,700-sq.-ft. in the spring, while MGM Financial Strategies Inc. will follow with a 1,700-sq.-ft. opening this summer or fall.

  • Oreck brand lives on with Hong Kong owner

    More of a mass market future could be in the cards for the Oreck Corporation following acquisition of its assets this week by TTI Group’s Royal Appliance subsidiary, which manufactures well known home improvement and housewares brands.

    Oreck filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this year and this week the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Tennessee approved the sale of its assets to Royal Appliance for a little more than $17 million and the assumption of certain debt obligations.

  • Dollar Tree / Deal$ to open in Astoria, N.Y.

    New York -- Dollar Tree / Deal$ has leased 8,000 sq. ft. on Steinway St. in Astoria, New York, according to SRS Real Estate Partners.

    The SRS New York City office represented the tenant, and Lucid Vass Realty Group represented Astoria Properties Company, the landlord.

  • Red Legacy gets senior director of new business development

    KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Red Legacy, a commercial real estate developer for shopping centers, has hired Stacy Scheelk as its new senior director of new business development.

    Scheelk is a shopping industry expert with a background in local, regional and national business development and marketing. She will be charged elevating and maximizing the potential of each development by fomenting partnerships, securing sponsorships, creating specialty retail and increasing ancillary income.
