KitchenAid raising funds for breast cancer foundation
BENTON HARBOR, Mich. KitchenAid announced that, as part of its "cook for the cure" intiative, it is offering a selection of pink kitchen essentials and gadgets that generate donations of up to $50 each to Susan G. Komen for the Cure when purchased and registered. These include everything from pink silicone spatulas and mixing bowls, to 5-quart stand mixers available in all pink or white with a pink trim band.
"To date, cook for the cure has raised more than $8 million for the fight against breast cancer," according to Deb O'Connor, senior manager of brand experience for KitchenAid. "Beyond the products, this program actively engages cooks by encouraging them to do more of what they already love while supporting a trusted non-profit like Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Everyone wins when a consumer sees and purchases a pink KitchenAid product at retail that looks beautiful, performs wonderfully and generates a donation for the fight against breast cancer when registered," said O'Connor.
