  • Hollister launches new online product with Keds

    New Albany, Ohio -- Hollister Co. is partnering with Keds to release an exclusive line that features signature Hollister patterns on Keds sneakers. Beginning Aug. 15, the exclusive Hollister + Keds sneakers will be available only at HollisterCo.com, but customers can view a display inside Hollister stores to see the new patterns.

  • Coldwater Creek names former Loft exec as CMO

    Sandpoint, Idaho -- Coldwater Creek announced the appointment of Deborah Cavanagh as senior VP and CMO, effective Sept. 16.

    Cavanagh, who arrives Coldwater Creek from Loft where she was senior VP brand marketing, led the repositioning of Loft as a differentiated brand from Ann Taylor. She will lead Coldwater Creek's multi-channel brand marketing and creative services.

     

  • Jelly Belly’s new line is both trick and treat

    FAIRFIELD, Calif. — Halloween may still be a couple of months away, but Jelly Belly Candy Company has unveiled the third edition of its BeanBoozled collection of jelly beans.

    The third edition features new flavors such as Stinky Socks and its twin Tutti-Fruitti and Lawn Clippings with its double Lime. BeanBoozled jelly beans come in 20 flavors — 10 “weird and wild flavors” which look exactly like 10 “tasty flavors,” according to the company.

    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Winn-Dixie has its eye on back-to-school shoppers who are stretching budgets at the height of the back-to-school season. It plans on freezing prices throughout a 10-week period on hundreds of products across every category and department across the store. 

  • Report: Twitter, older adults drive widespread social media use

    Washington, D.C. – Seventy-two percent of online adults in the U.S. use social media. Data from the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project shows that Twitter is helping drive this widespread social media use, as the percentage of Internet users who are on Twitter has more than doubled since November 2010, currently standing at 18%.

  • Kohl’s makes donation to Milwaukee Art Museum

    MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. — Kohl’s Department Stores has donated $2 million throughout a three-year period to the Milwaukee Art Museum to continue the Kohl’s Art Generation program, a youth art education initiative.

  • Lakeforest Mall will spend $1.2 million on improvements

    Gaithersburg, Md. — Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg, Md., today announced a $1.2 million renovation plan. Improvements will include a reconfiguration of the center court, a new and improved children’s play area and new furniture for the food court.

    Work will level the 5,245-sq.-ft. center court to create a space that will host community events such as the Lunar New Year Celebration, Summer Camp Expo and holiday promotions. Center court renovations will finish up by early November.
