Dedicated in-store tech experiences

In stores, Best Buy will launch an immersive experiential space called “Meta Lab @Best Buy” in 50 locations in time for the holiday season. The 900-sq.-ft. space is designed to give customers a hands-on way to explore Meta’s full product lineup of AI glasses and VR headsets through interactive demos and displays, smart mirrors, personalized fittings and more.

Select stores will also have dedicated Google store experiences coming in October. New displays and hands-on experiences are being rolled out for fast-growing categories like collectibles, trading cards, wearables and 3D printers, as well as experiences dedicated to appliance brands including Breville and SharkNinja.

Best Buy noted it is the only national retailer selling next-gen RGB LED TVs (which do not use color filters) from Samsung, Sony, LG, TCL and Hisense. The TVs are on display in nearly every Best Buy store, with more than 15,000 associates specially certified in the new technology.

Digital

On the digital front, customers will be able to find gift ideas and shop Best Buy products through ChatGPT, with the new ability to complete purchases right in the next-gen AI platform. In addition, Best Buy says it now offers next-day delivery in almost every metro area.

Loyalty

New this year, My Best Buy Plus and Total loyalty program members can earn 1% back in rewards on every eligible purchase or 6% back when they use their My Best Buy credit card.

Based in Minneapolis, Best Buy operates more than 1,000 retail stores in North America.
