Amazon is entering a multi-year strategic partnership designed to help its third-party sellers manage finances and compliance, and gain access to capital.

In a new collaboration with Intuit Inc., QuickBooks will become Amazon’s preferred partner for financial management solutions. It will be integrated directly in Amazon Seller Central, the Amazon site where sellers manage their businesses.

"Together with Intuit, we’re working to equip our selling partners with additional financial tools and access to capital to help them scale efficiently," said Dharmesh Mehta, VP, worldwide selling partner services at Amazon.

Amazon sellers will be able to discover and utilize Intuit’s platform seamlessly, gaining access to real-time financial updates such as profitability, cash flow, and estimated tax liabilities. Sellers will also have the ability to bring their existing Amazon data into Intuit’s AI-based business platform.

Seamless access to QuickBooks will provide sellers end-to-end visibility into their financials in one place to manage business areas such as profitability, cash flow, inventory, and real-time tax estimates, the company said.

In addition, eligible Amazon sellers using QuickBooks will have access to personalized loans through QuickBooks Capital directly from Amazon Seller Central. This collaboration streamlines the process for small businesses to secure funding to accelerate their growth.

"Amazon is innovating on behalf of sellers every day to support the growth and success of their businesses, which includes providing sellers with streamlined access to third-party tools that offer additional efficiencies and capabilities to help them operate their business," said Mehta.

Intuit and Amazon will start rolling out these capabilities in mid-2025. The companies will initially focus on delivering capabilities for sellers in the U.S., with international availability to follow.

"Intuit and Amazon are providing financial tools for millions of Amazon sellers to thrive in Amazon’s store," said Intuit CEO Sasan Goodarzi. "We know businesses that use Intuit’s QuickBooks platform have a nearly 20-point higher success rate than those who don’t. We’re proud to partner with Amazon to bring the benefits of our AI-driven expert platform to help sellers boost their revenue and profitability, save time, and grow with confidence."

Amazon provides third-party sellers with AI capabilities

Amazon’s partnership with Intuit follows its recent beta rollout of a new generative AI-powered personal assistant for sellers, code-named Project Amelia.

The new tool is described an all-in-one, generative AI-based selling expert that is always available to immediately provide sellers with the answers, advice and tools they need to succeed, the retail giant said. Sellers can ask Project Amelia a question and get a response with accurate information and guidance, them to more easily and efficiently manage their business, according to Amazon.

Project Amelia will run on Amazon Bedrock, an Amazon Web Services offering that provides different foundational learning models for companies, including Amazon itself, to build and scale AI-powered applications.  It can be accessed through a conversational interface within the Amazon Seller Central portal.
