Albertsons launches digital hub for event planning
Albertsons Companies Inc. is providing a single online resource to bring together everything customers need for parties, holidays and special occasions.
The grocery conglomerate is rolling out Celebrations, a portal available across all of its banners’ websites and apps providing access to curated products and recommendations for events such as birthdays, baby showers, bridal events and seasonal holidays.
Shoppers can browse curated assortments for different events, personalize the details and check out within minutes. In addition, the new agentic AI-based shopping assistant Albertsons rolled out across its banners in December 2025 is available to guide customers through the experience and provide personalized recommendations.
Specific products available via Celebrations include custom cakes, party supplies and décor, catering services, curated party planning checklists, and unique recipes. Delivery and pickup options are provided where available.

"Celebrations puts essentials in one place, making planning and shopping more convenient, more personal and delightfully effortless for millions of shoppers."
Customers can visit their local Albertsons Cos. app or website and navigate to the dedicated Celebrations link under the "Shop more" tab. Celebrations is not Albertsons’ first effort to provide customers with a digital one-stop shop for vent-related planning and shopping.
In May 2025, the grocer offered an online Mother’s Day hub providing items such as fresh flowers, treats, self-care items and greeting cards all in one place. Using the Albertsons banner app, customers could send these gifts with the retailer’s all-new gifting feature or choose to pick up the items at any participating Albertsons banner store.
And initially timed for the June wedding season, the retailer introduced what it calls an environmentally friendly online option for purchasing fresh, hand-cut wedding flowers in 2021. Customers can order several flower types and colors from various themed collections.

As of Nov. 29, 2025, Boise, Idaho-based Albertsons Companies operated 2,243 retail stores with 1,708 in-store pharmacies, 404 associated fuel centers, 22 dedicated distribution centers and 19 manufacturing facilities. The company operates stores across 35 states and the District of Columbia under 22 banners including Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Jewel-Osco, Shaw's, ACME, Tom Thumb, Randalls, United Supermarkets, Pavilions, Star Market, Haggen, Carrs, Kings Food Markets and Balducci's Food Lovers Market.
