1-800-Flowers unveils personalized greeting cards, creates new holiday

Online floral gift retailer 1-800-Flowers.com Inc. is celebrating its new custom digital offering by creating a holiday.

The company is now offers personalized greeting cards for  a range of occasions, including holidays, corporate gifting, anniversaries, birthdays, bridal sentiments, sympathy, thank you, get well, “just because” and more. The cards can be customized with photos, logos and unique messages. Customers can also include a personalized message, and the card will be printed and delivered.

In celebration of its new personalized greeting cards offering, 1-800-Flowers.com has designated Thursday, Sept. 26 as "Greeting Card Day." On that date, the retailer will price all personalized greeting cards at $1, with each customer allowed to send up to 10 cards for just $1 each.

The retailer’s personalized greeting cards follow its recent introduction of Card Isle, a service which provides customers the ability to send standalone personalized greeting cards or pair them with the assortment of gifts available across the 1-800-Flowers.com portfolio of brands. Card Isle features 30,000 greeting card designs created by hundreds of independent artists.

The retailer also allows customers to send greeting cards from more than brands featuring $5-$100 add-on options with audio and video capabilities. Customers can also record a 30-second video to be included in the card. When the recipient opens the card, they can scan a QR code to gain access to the video on their device.

 In addition to personalized greeting cards, 1-800-Flowers.com offers personalized corporate gifts through a service called SmartGift for Business.
