1-800-Flowers CFO to retire; replacement named

1-800-Flowers.com, Inc.'s longtime CFO Bill Shea will retire at the end of the year.

Online floral gift retailer 1-800-Flowers.com, Inc. has announced an upcoming change to its chief financial officer position.

Longtime executive Bill Shea will retire as CFO, effective Dec. 29, after more than 24 years with 1-800-Flowers.com. The company’s board of directors has appointed James Langrock as CFO, also effective Dec. 29.

“I want to take this opportunity to congratulate Bill on his upcoming retirement and to thank him for his three decades of tireless commitment to our company,” said Jim McCann, chairman and CEO of 1-800-Flowers.com, who retook the chief executive role of the company from his brother Christopher last summer. “Bill has been a terrific partner to me and a tremendous asset to our company during a period of tremendous growth and transformation. We wish Bill all the best upon his retirement.”

Prior to joining 1-800-Flowers.com in September of 2000, Shea was a certified public accountant with Ernst & Young LLP for 16 years.

Incoming CFO James Langrock joined 1-800-Flowers.com in April as chief administrative officer. Prior to joining the company, he held the position of CFO at several public and privately-held companies, including Charcuterie Artisans, The Hain Celestial Group and Monster Worldwide, Inc.

“I also want to congratulate James on his appointment to chief financial officer upon Bill’s retirement,” added McCann. “James has been a great addition to our leadership team since joining the company and brings a great wealth of financial expertise to our company.”
