TikTok launches new creator tools as the holidays approach.

E-commerce creators using the TikTok social media network have new tools at their disposal in time for the holidays.

The video-focused social media platform’s TikTok Shop U.S. e-commerce site, which brings shoppable videos and livestreams from retailers, brands and content creators directly to user "For You" feeds across the country, is introducing three new solutions specifically for creators on its platform.

The new solutions are designed to assist creators with learning best practices, growing their businesses, and avoiding policy violations. Highlights of each new offering follow:

Personalized account health report

This new tool is designed to make it easier for e-commerce creators to keep track of their policy violations. Located on a creator's Account Standing page, the report, which is generated weekly, summarizes and centralizes policy violations and messages across creator livestreams and videos from the past seven days.

It also displays key violation metrics, so creators understand which violations they incur most often, and alerts them if they're approaching any violation milestones that may result in enforcement actions.

Future iterations of the report will link out to policy education articles, many of which will contain additional materials like videos and slide decks.

Creator policy quiz

By taking a three-question multiple-choice quiz designed to specifically address particular violations, creators can help improve their knowledge of content policies to help prevent the same violations in the future. Creators can also improve their account health overall by reducing the violation points they have received.

Creators can take each quiz up to three times, though any one quiz type only removes one point every 30 calendar days. Creators can take a quiz anytime from when the violation is issued until the last day of the following month.

IRL trainings

Tik-Tok Shop is also currently offering in-person workshops to select groups of e-commerce creators. They can also perform mock livestream sessions for their peers and are encouraged to speak with on-site representatives from TikTok Shop teams spanning policy, campaigns, education, product, creator management and other topics.
