Target extends store hours, offers Christmas Eve delivery and pickup

Target has a variety of offerings for last-minute holiday shoppers.

As the holiday season enters its final two weeks Target Corp. is ramping up its offerings for shoppers.

The discount giant is reaching out to last-minute holiday shoppers with the following services and features:

Extended holiday store hours

Most of the retailer's nearly 2,000 stores are open for extended hours of 7 a.m. to midnight local time through Monday, Dec. 23. On Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, stores will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. local time. All Target stores are closed on Christmas Day, Dec. 25.

Same-day delivery, drive up and order pickup on Christmas Eve

Same-day delivery orders placed by 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve can be delivered to customer homes or sent to anyone on their shopping list. Members of the retailer's Target Circle 360 paid membership program receive unlimited same-day delivery on orders over $35, while same-day delivery is available for $9.99 per order for non-members.

Orders placed by 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve are available for drive up or in-store pickup the same day, along with product returns and pickup of Starbucks orders

Three-day Holiday Countdown Sale

Target is holding a three-day Holiday Countdown Sale, Dec. 12-14, with more than half of toys available for under $20, as well as $5 and $10 gift items. In store, Target is offering stocking stuffers under $10, as well as an expanded assortment from British retailer Marks & Spencer.

Holiday promotions in full swing at Target

Target is in the midst of a busy holiday promotional season. The retailer recently debuted "Bullseye Gift Finder," a generative AI-based solution available oin its e-commerce site and app designed to provide customers seeking holiday gifts for kids with personalized product recommendations within seconds.

The retailer kicked off the holiday season with an early start to its Black Friday deals and Cyber Monday offers, and also on Black Friday (Nov. 29, 2024) Target began offering two exclusive Taylor Swift releases.

The items, including the official "Taylor Swift/The Eras Tour," which provides behind-the-scenes look at the making and performance of the superstar’s Eras tour, and "The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology" album on vinyl and CD, are both selling at levels in their respective categories which have either not been seen before or are at the highest in years.
