Stitch Fix is teaming up with Spotify to help customers select outfits, taking their music preferences into account.

The online personal shopping and styling service is introducing “Style Tune Ups,” a feature offering personalized outfit recommendations based on the trends from Stitch Fix's 2024 Style Forecast, along with curated “outfit of the day” Spotify playlists.

Customers can answer a few brief questions about their personal style on Spotify to begin a Style Tune Up shopping experience. From there, the experience will match a trend from the Stitch Fix 2024 Style Forecast matching their style. Spotify will curate a personalized playlist around both their style and music preferences.

After their Style Tune Up results are revealed, customers can visit Stitch Fix and share their personalized results with their stylist ahead of their next session.

Stitch Fix is also introducing “Tune Up Styling Sessions.” These virtual styling appointments are aimed at helping concert attendees utilize their personalized Style Forecast trend to create outifts for upcoming musical tours. According to Stitch Fix, analysis of billions of data points from more than 100 million styling sessions revealed nearly four in five of its customers take outfit inspiration from pop star Taylor Swift.

Starting Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, concert attendees can schedule a limited-time Tune Up Styling Session and receive a one-on-one virtual styling appointment with a Stitch Fix expert stylist.

"At Stitch Fix, we are committed to creating new ways for clients to explore their personal style," said Stitch Fix chief marketing officer Debbie Woloshin. "This experience on Spotify allows us to integrate the soundtracks of our clients' lives to make building their wardrobes and getting dressed a more personalized and inspiring experience."

"(I)t was an intuitive next step to team up with Spotify—a brand also known for its expertise in data and personalized recommendations,” said Stitch Fix head of trend Jenny Herr. "Through the launch of Style Tune Ups, we're able to blend both of our specialties to make getting dressed easier and more inspired than ever before, while providing clients with a fun and personalized way to marry their love of music and individual style."
